This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Deviant art is kind of a failed internet utopia. A community where people freely share their art and expression, but it seems more and more it is turned into a glorified version of photobucket for some people. True, there are some really amazing artists on here, but when i'm looking through recent "deviations" or any catagory for that matter, anything worth looking at is buried under countless drawings of anime from some lame kid's geometry notebook. I'm not saying cartoons aren't legit, i'm simply saying that the community of deviant art should start putting up some standards, or have filters in place so that professional artist, or artists who are trying to actually make professional artwork can have a community which is easier to navigate without having to deal with the doodles and myspace photos.
I'm not trying to be a snob, and if anyone has a problem with my ideas, feel free to talk to me about it and share your perspectives. (nobody reads this anyways.)
